
Professor Patrick Ngulube
Professor Patrick Ngulube is a Professor in the Department of Interdisciplinary Research and Postgraduate Studies at the University of South Africa (UNISA). A leading scholar in the field of Information Science, he has held various leadership roles within the East and Southern Africa Regional Branch of the International Council on Archives (ESARBICA), contributing significantly to archival and records management in the region.
Dr. Ngulube earned his MSc in Information Science from Addis Ababa University in 1997 and his PhD in Information Studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2003. He is a recipient of multiple research awards from UNISA and has secured research funding from the National Research Foundation (NRF) of South Africa.
His extensive research interests include Indigenous knowledge systems, knowledge management, records management, e-government, access and preservation of information, postgraduate education, and the development of research methodologies and theoretical frameworks. Dr. Ngulube is widely recognized for advancing scholarship in the African information and knowledge landscape.
