
Prof Vusumuzi Maphosa
Professor Vusumuzi Maphosa is the Director of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Department at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Zimbabwe. He holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems and Technology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
With over two decades of experience in IT administration, academia, and research, Prof. Maphosa has established himself as a leading authority in the ICT field. He has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications, covering a wide range of areas including artificial intelligence, data mining, ICT for Development (ICT4D), e-governance, data ethics, and educational technology.
Renowned for his ability to bridge theory and practice, Prof. Maphosa plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of ICT in Africa and globally. His work continues to influence policy, drive innovation, and build capacity across the continent’s information technology landscape.
