Mr. Janusz Skarzynski

Janusz Skarzynski holds an MPhil in Library and Information Science from the University of Cape Town and currently serves as a Faculty Librarian for Arts and Humanities at the University of the Western Cape. With over 20 years of experience in academic librarianship, he is dedicated to enhancing research viability through open access publishing, generative AI, and comprehensive research support services.

Janusz is particularly committed to advancing AI and meta literacies as essential tools for academic success. His work bridges traditional librarianship with emerging technologies, promoting digital fluency and critical thinking across disciplines.

Beyond the university, he is actively engaged in community outreach, contributing to digital humanities initiatives and facilitating prompt engineering workshops. Through these efforts, he strives to expand access to scholarly resources and foster greater collaboration and innovation within the academic and research community.
