Chipa Thomas Maimela is the Senior Coordinator for Training at the University of Pretoria Library, where he currently contributes to innovative, AI-driven library projects. An accomplished educator, instructional developer, and technology innovator, he brings extensive experience in library learning and development, science and technology education, digital learning, and science media analysis.

Chipa holds a Master of Business Administration, an Honours degree in Educational Management, and a Diploma in Science Education, alongside a range of professional certifications in areas such as executive education, information literacy, and online facilitation. His work reflects a strong commitment to advancing digital pedagogy and fostering user-centered learning environments.

An active member of the IFLA AI Special Interest Group, Chipa has been engaged in international library learning and professional development initiatives since their inception, contributing to global conversations on the future of libraries, technology, and education.
