Mr. Omesh Jagarnath
Omesh Jagarnath is the Information Librarian for Law at the University of Johannesburg Library. He holds a Master’s degree in Information Science and a Higher Education Diploma, with over 20 years of experience in academic librarianship.
Prior to joining UJ, he served as Principal Librarian for Circulation at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), where he played a key role in user services and resource access. His extensive experience has given him deep insight into the vital role of Information Literacy in supporting researchers and students.
Omesh’s current professional interests include the impact of emerging technologies on library services, with a particular focus on how digital tools can enhance access to legal and academic information.
