Dr. Mashilo Modiba

Dr. Mashilo Modiba is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Information Science at the University of South Africa (UNISA). His research focuses on the integration of advanced technologies—such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotic machines, collaborative robots (cobots), the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, and cloud computing—within the Library and Information Science (LIS) field, including archives and records management.

Dr. Modiba is also deeply engaged in the conceptualization and development of intelligent libraries in the South African context. His work explores how emerging technologies can transform information services and contribute to more efficient, data-driven, and future-ready library environments.
